The Church of Christ Prison Ministry is about changing lives by sharing the good news of Jesus with the women at the Topeka Correctional Facility.
The Prison Ministry currently meets at the Topeka Correctional Facility every Sunday evening from 6:00 – 7:00. The worship time includes singing together, participating in the Lord’s Supper, Bible study, and a time of encouragement. The Bible study leads those who attend through a chapter by chapter study of the Bible with material provided for extra study throughout the week.
Matthew 25:37-40 reads, “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe You? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘ I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'”
This scripture passage gives us insight into God’s heart for prison ministry. We hope you will be encouraged to follow Jesus by ministering in the prison and in the community to inmates, ex-inmates, and their families. Partner in this ministry through prayer.
